Earth Day is April 21'st and we hosting a huge event on the Rusted Mountain Ranch property. A lot of things need to be done and organized to prep for this event. Have you ever wanted to turn a steel shipping container into a livable, workable space? At this two day campout event we will turn a huge shipping container into a pop-up kitchen. This will be a lot of fun and a collective team effort! Overnight campers are welcomed although you can come for a single day to participate. Bring gloves, boots, and appropriate clothing (you will get dirty), but you will also have a lot of fun. This kitchen will serve as the hub for our garden and farm to plate meals.

The Rusted Mountain Ranch has structures that were built in the 1950's - 1990's. All were built by the original owner and founder of the land. A lot of these buildings need love and a fresh coat of paint! That is our two day workforce mission. We will work together in teams to paint the various structures and bring new color to the landscape. If you or family members have paint they wish to donate, please bring that along when you come to participate. All paint is needed! This is a two day campout event.

Do you want to put your hands into the earth? This workshop is all about getting your hands dirty and creating the soil that will nourish our plants and food. This is a two day campout event but all are welcomed to come for a single day and participate. Bring gloves, boots and proper clothing. Also if you have any soil, or garden materials you wish to donate please bring those items along. Over night campers can camp in our Tipi's or tent camp on the property. Join us for planting the garden!

It's time to connect with the water. For our community garden to grow we will need give the soil water. Rusted Mountain Ranch has 3 wells on the property...great! We want to be smart with the water the land collects and provides, thus we will plan and utilize modern and ancient irrigation techniques and methods. This will be a very fun and interesting event with lots of knowledge being shared and explored. Plan to get dirty but have a lot of fun. This is a two day event, but you can come for a single day!

Are you a handy person? Honestly, it doesn't matter because you will learn and contribute a lot when you volunteer to be part of this workforce. This is a two day campout event but you can come for a single day! We have 4 Tipi's and more to host of workforce guests. Each day we will work at constructing the gardening beds using new and recycled materials from previous workshops. Bring gloves, wear boots and proper clothing and prepare to get dirty, but also plan on having a lot of fun with great people!

Our property was owned by a single owner for 50+ years and over that time accumulated a lot of steel, wood, trucks, parts, etc. Now Rusted Mountain Ranch needs to scavenge and organize these materials to determine what can be used.
