Mission Statement:
A non-profit whose goals and aim are to reconnect humans to their natural roles of being stewards of nature. Our aim is to boost growth and healing through hands-on skills, education, mentorship, and immersion.

Our Story:
Hello, we are Nature Reconnection, a group of people who have dedicated their lives to understanding nature. We officially started in 2014 by leading guided nature walks and sharing wilderness skills. In 2016, we moved a majority of our classes to Wrightwood, California. In 2018, we founded PPSW and began teaching emergency preparedness skills to rural populated areas in Pakistan most affected by manmade and natural disasters. By 2020, our instructors had been featured on many television networks over the years sharing their love for nature. In 2022, we officially launched Earth School for children. In 2023, after nearly 10 years of work, we decided to become a non-profit.

What we Offer
Our home base in Wrightwood hosts scheduled classes, guided hikes, workshops, walkabouts, gatherings, charter school programs, and retreats. Our instructors also serve as media consultants, fixers, hosts, and survival experts for the outdoor industry.

Our Core Focus:

  • Education
Learning the wonders of nature is an infinite experience, however our lives are limited, and our time is precious. We will barely scratch the surface in regards to all that we can learn about nature within our lifetimes. However, our goal as educators is to constantly lead you to the source (nature) to gain information, valuable skills, and a healthy respect for our world.

  • Immersion
As much as we all want to, ‘get out there’ and dive deep into the vastness of the wilderness, it can swallow us alive. Our goal as guides is to immerse our students in nature in safe, healthy, and respectful ways. Our immersion mindset allows nature to be the ultimate teacher in the experiences we all undertake together at Nature Reconnection.

  • Quality
Exceptional instruction and our student’s overall experience are important to us. First-class locations, curriculum, contingencies, communication, and safety are all built into the experiences we create. We pride ourselves in taking the time to listen and understand our student’s intentions and helping them reach their goals. We believe this creates real quality in nature education.
