Ortega Mountain Campout

Come join us in the beautiful Ortega Mountains for our overnight campout! We will be covering a variety of introductory survival skills for you and your family to get outdoors and feel confident in your future adventures! Get hands on experience and practice skills that will last a lifetime.

Learn how to make friction fire, basic water filters, primitive traps, and perform natural navigation. Enjoy the comradery of fire and friends. And spend the night out in nature, reconnecting with the world around us.

WHERE: Ortega Mountains, Blue Jay Campground

WHEN: March 23 - 24 (Saturday - Sunday)

WHAT TO BRING: On top of warm clothing, please bring a fixed blade, water bottle you don’t mind parting with, camping gear (sleeping bag/pad/pillow/tent?), and any personal items.
